H & M Intermediaries promotes Scott Sayce to Group Chief Commercial Officer

H & M Intermediaries Group has announced the promotion of Scott Sayce to Group Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), reporting to Richard Clapham, CEO, H & M Intermediaries Group effective from 1 April 2026. Sayce will also join the H & M Intermediaries Group Executive Committee (GEC). Previously Group Chief Innovation Officer, Sayce joined H & M Intermediaries in 2024.

Clapham said: “Scott has made a significant contribution to H & M Intermediaries since he joined us two years ago, bringing with him a wealth of industry experience. Scott combines a deep understanding of underwriting with a truly commercial outlook. In his new role, he will continue to drive our innovation agenda as well as ensuring that our strategy remains focused on how we can add real and tangible value to our strategic partners. Most recently, Scott has collaborated closely with our regional teams to launch new global cyber capacity, which is now available in multiple geographies, offering better solutions for our brokers and their clients.

“I am particularly pleased we were able to fill this key role from within as it speaks to the quality of talent in H & M Intermediaries. Scott will be joining the GEC, taking over the role of CCO from Darren Doherty who is retiring from H & M Intermediaries after 8 years in the role, and a successful career spanning over 30 years in the insurance industry. We wish Darren all the very best for the next exciting chapter in his life.”

Sayce added: “This is a tremendous opportunity in a fantastic business, and I am proud to take up this opportunity to help drive our strategy and oversight of our new initiatives. H & M Intermediaries has a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where people are trusted to innovate, to take ownership and make a real impact and we will continue to focus on building stronger and deeper relationships with our strategic partners.”
